What is Quartzite

Quartzite is a natural metamorphic rock, composed mainly of quartz minerals, one of the most abundant minerals in our Earth’s crust.

Going back in time, quartzite results from quartz dance that has become, metamorphoses, a sandstone for millions of years and then under the influence of immense temperature and pressure into the quartzite we are familiar with its dynamic color patterns.

Quartzite is more resistant than marble stains

When exposed to substances such as lemon juice or vinegar, quartzite should not stain as quickly, unlike marble. So, if you are considering a marble surface but you are worried about these ugly spots, quartzite is a better alternative. However, it is always advisable to stop stains, see below …

Quartzite is resistant to heat and UV rays

Since this has been changed by high temperature and pressure, you can put a hot pan on the counter without worry. This is in contrast to man-made materials.

Quartzite is not quartz (complex)

Quartz and quartzite sound almost the same, but they are completely different … Quartz is a manmade stone and Quartzite is a natural stone.
